Music Camp: 9:00AM – 12:30PM
Afternoon program: 1:00 – 3:30PM
(Extended program available from 3:30PM – 6:00PM, please ask JM for more information)


$280.00 per week Morning Camp from 9:00am to 12:30pm, $224.00 for Week 4 (4 days camp, no 7/4)
$200.00 per week Afternoon Camp from 1:00pm to 3:30pm, $160.00 for Week 4 (4 days camp, no 7/4)

Theme for Each Camp:

Week 1: DISNEY DELIGHTS (6/11 to 6/15)
“A week celebration of various musical scores and stories from childhood Disney favorites that have inspired decades of musical joy.”

Week 2: STRUNG TOGETHER (6/18 to 6/22)
“A week dedicated to learning about the various string instruments used throughout history, their importance to the orchestra and their significance to the ensemble.”

Week 3: ROCK AND ROLL OVER BEETHOVEN (6/25 to 6/29)
“A brief glance at America’s history of rock music and the many genres it spawned since inception. Popular musicians, bands, billboards and of course, the rise of the electric guitar as a serious instrument.”

Week 4: AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL (7/2 to 7/6 no class on 7/4)
“A special week dedicated to our American history and to celebrate its independence and patriotism. Students will explore the many pieces of music that helped shape the events and establish our country, as well as the musical styles that shaped our history.”

Week 5: THE SOUNDS OF ASIA (7/9 to 7/13)
“A historical perspective of Asia, musical styles and the unique instruments that they use.”

Week 6: BACH IN TIME (7/16 to 7/20)
“A particular focus on the historical eras of music including the renaissance, baroque and classical era and the culturally rich influence it provided through art and musical design. Attention is detailed regarding the kinds of musical instruments available and performance practices.”

Week 7: WOODWIND WONDERS (7/23 to 7/27)
“A week dedicated to the woodwind family of instruments, with an introduction to the recorders. Other instruments to cover are the flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon. Understanding how each instrument produces their sound and their role in the orchestra.”

Week 8: MUSICAL THEATER CAMP (7/30 to 8/3)
“A week dedicated to various musicals from singing, listening to and understanding how the art of live performance and acting can combine to make a memorable musical experience through teamwork.”

Week 9: KEYBOARD CHEMISTRY (8/6 to 8/10)
“A week celebrating and understanding the various keyboard instruments throughout music history. Students will also learn about composers who wrote for the various keyboard instruments as well as some of their popular pieces.”
